Members Merkin
You haven't said anything about what sound you're going for. But I do love the Tube Zone, it's very versatile.

Members Flaat
I suggest you go into different stores and try different pedals. There are many that could be used for what you describe.I had a tele > TS808 > 6watt EL84amp, and it's the best tone I've ever had for hardcore. It's all how you play it..Edit:Can you dial in the crunchy rock-tone on the amp alone, without any pedals? If so, most overdrive pedals will give a great lead-tone. At least that's my two cents.
