Members dennis138
I'm looking to buy a quality distortion pedal to go for that heavily distorted Marshall tone. I will be playing a Gibson SG through a Peavey Classic 30. So far I've broken it down to a Tone Bone Hot British and the Maxon ROD881 Overdrive/Distortion pedal. I've heard great things about the Tone Bone and just read a favorable review of the Maxon in Guitar Player. The Maxon is almost $100 more than the Tone Bone. Any opinions/suggestions? Members Diende McAuk
Get the Tonebone! Loads of flexibility and great sounds in that pedal.
Members Acid Test
I had a Rod 881 and was surprised on how bad it sounded. Unlike the Hot British, you couldn't tell it had a tube.
Members dennis138
The tonebone does have quite a good reputation. I think I'll go with that and save myself $100.
