Members Lensrock
I haven't had any experience with any BBE stuff, but the Free Fuzz looks extremely interesting. On the website it says that it is Hardwire Bypass, is that another term for True Bypass? Phil

With two knobs, it is a pretty sure bet that its based on the Dallas Fuzz Face--probably the most copied fuzz circuit of all time. You know, you could build your own exact clone of the Fuzz Face along with mods with BYOC's Fuzz Clone kit. A bit of soldering and patience and you have a fuzz that is not only more authentic than the mass produced stuff, but is fun to build. And it is only 75 bucks. Members Lensrock
Still though, at $99 these BBE pedals look wroth trying. Phil
Members Huckleberry
Yeah, the BYOC pedals are cheaper, WAY fun to build, and sound much more authentic (to me) than a lot of the stuff out there.
Members citizens_X
If the BBE Free Fuzz is a clone of the Fuzz Face, why wouldn't You just get the Fuzz Face? wouldn't they sound the same? or are people getting the clones because they're smaller and would take up less space on their pedal boards? Members spentron
The specs read 1M input impedance, which is odd for a fuzz face. Anyway, at least one fuzz I can play for free ... at least as long as I don't try to leave Guitar Center
