Members Jeztastic
Hiya I am wanting to get a DRRI to complement my Traynor AC15 clone. And so that I don't have to sell the Traynor and get something louder. How does the DRRI compare headroom wise? Do ppl think this will help the problem of too much breakup at gigs from the Traynor? I am hoping to run them in stereo at about the same vol. I really like the sound of my Traynor when it's breaking up with my TS-5 pushing it. I'm not so keen on the sound of the TS-5 into a dead clean amp. Does this sound like a good idea?
Members papa taco
I think it sounds like a great idea. You can also further tweak your clean headroom with speakers as some are more efficient than others. A blue alnico for example is 3db louder than a greenback (the equivalent of doubling an amp's wattage).I'm considering a deluxe reverb type amp to run in stereo with my incoming ac15 clone (valvetech hayseed 15).The other advantage of running 2 amps together is you've got backup if one of them {censored}s the bed. taco
