Members OPEN OCEAN
just found this weird behaviour on the 606...all the patterns i write tend to dissapear after a few days and are replaced by whole 16th patterns of all the sounds in other words i get the bd eg in whole or almost whole pattern and this happens for all the sounds while the original patterns are gone...you think its a battery problem or something with it ?...any help by 606 addicts would be great... cheers

Members OPEN OCEAN
just found this from a help text "So if there are no batteries installed, and there is a power adaptorplugged in, then the memory chips will only get power if the powerswitch is on - and hence the machine is running" so in other words can i have the 606 power always turned on in order to keep the patterns alive ?...or this is gonna create other problems ?... any help would be great... Members Mook
The (TR)606 should remember the patterns with the power off so long as you have some batteries installed.

Members Mook
I only used mine with batteries. I know I lost the presets when changing them. I would expect that you should be able to save the patterns with batteries in all the time, but while using external PSU, unless the PSU socket on the back of the 606 has a mechanical contact to disconnect the batteries, and the PSU doesn't supply the memory circuit. Just run it on batteries - it sounds better as they run down anyway!
