Members Elliott Damage
i hear you! I'm trying to tab out everything myself now and get into the swing of things.
Members Teahead
I'm getting better, recently opening up my ears and fingers to more 6, maj7 & 9 chords (thanks to tab) has helped. I don't work out lead parts often, more chords and rhythm. Previously a maj/min chord would have been all I could manage, but lately I've started to hear the extensions too. To make it interesting I like to try and learn songs that don't always have prominent guitar, or random things I come across on youtube.
Members ZeppelinPie792
I stopped using tabs about half a year ago. The last thing I used tabs on was the tapping part of eruption.
Members bierball
I almost never use tabs. By the time I find an accurate one I have figured the song out by ear. Must have learned more than 300 songs by ear by now.
Members ode2no1
whats funny is that i pretty much learned to play because of tabs but its been so long since ive used them that when i need to tab something out for someone i have a really hard time doing so. i can usually figure stuff out on my own...its more the acoustic finger picking stuff that i struggle with. Members ZeppelinPie792
I can figure out some things note for note, but I have a hard time doing chords for some reason. Even if its just a major chord, I have a hard time figuring out that its D C and G
Members Fast Frets
I don't even like tabbing things that I've written. :) :)
