Members JDandCoke
i could make do with just a dirt pedal (liquid sunshine or SCOD i think...) ive done it many times before... no pedals would be pretty hard for the styles i play but thats taking into account i just have an amp that does clean... (unless cranked ungodly loud) most of my board is just varieties of dirt anyway... a tuner pedal would be nice but i can make do with a handheld device
Members NiCkMiLnE
yeah, sure infact, i played in my band with jsut an o/d for a while to drive the tubes. wouldnt even need that now:wave:
Members LPSlinger
I could but my band would have to play louder. Right now I just use pedals so I can get more overdrive at lower volume. I could crank my amps up to 10 and use my guitar's volume, but I'd have to get everyone else to turn up to a similar volume. The only effects I really use are overdrives. Members slc_dan
my style is very ambient, so..... unless I was playing in a mic'ed up cave, couldn't do it.
Members hilikus8
Yes, but live we do a lot of ambient, improvised stuff. So, an overdriven amp with reverb would be just fine:thu: ...I guess:D
Members jkg
Yeah I could do it.
Members BloodTypeBlue
Sure, but what's the point?
Members butterknucket
I've played the majority of my gigs with no pedals.
Members fuzzinator
I always subscribe to the old adage "If you can't play your song on an acoustic guitar, it isn't a worthwhile song." Sure you can add color and sparkle with effects, but you should be able to pick up an acoustic and get the point across.
