Members Inertiatic_SKS
I'm a bit confused about it I know that it's a distortion pedal, but I read that it also works as a sustainer and that's the feedbacker part in the name. Does it not produce feedback like a feedback loop? I'm a bit confused about it.
Members raggydoll
as far as i know its a ds1 with a feedback circuit. when you hold down the pedal it holds the last note you played. havn't tried one though.
Members seifukusha
no, its a ds1 that when you step on it, it generates a tone in the note you are playing. fun pedal for noise, etc
Members FDZ
Yeah, it's a fairly limited tone generator, like a one-note synth. The 'tracking' isn't the best, but you can also dial in a harmonic overtone to fake some feedback.
Members neal73
I have one of these, been using it for years and it's bloody great.Just removed it from my pedal board though to make room for the Daphon Overdrive I bought for peanuts on ebay. The sound from such a cheap pedal is gobsmackingly amazing.
Members Ben Glass
I've been looking at one of these, i know there's a couple of different versions, any real difference in sound??
Members FDZ
The Daphon (E20OD right?) is a fairly bang-on TubeScreamer clone. I should also add that the distortion on the Feedbacker is horrendous. As for the different versions, pretty sure they're identical, just the ones marked 'Distortion & Feedbacker' are worth more purely due to rarity. Members FDZ
AFAIK it's a bit different, but if this is what a DS1 sounds like I'm glad I don't own one.
Members neal73
That Daphon though is amazing - best
Members FDZ
I found the switch on mine stopped working after a while, so I opened her up and wedged some extra foam inside the spring - they definitely skimp a bit.
Members PartyPooper
it sounds a bit different than the DS-1. i think overall its a quieter pedal. in fact i have to put the level to 10 just to match my DS-1 at 5. as far as the "sustainer" part goes, you have to put the overtone knob to 0 and it will sustain the note for as long as you want. if you put the overtone know to 10, it will sustain the harmonic of that note. (i think thats what i mean)and as far as the tracking goes, it tracks perfectly as long as you are only playing one note at a time. if theres more than one note , or even one note accidentally played in the background, the tracking will be off. you have to be careful, but it sounds awesome.
