Members theweight
I'm starting my first byoc project very soon and it got me thinking, is there a kit anywhere for a standard clean boost, like an LPB-1 type circuit or something similar? My first project is a tri-boost, but I also want a standard clean boost too. Thought it might be a fun and cheap project.
Members mlabbee
generalguitargadgets.com and tonepad.com both sell boards for all sorts of projects - the AMZ mosfet boost is a good clean boost. You'll need to buy all the components separately for most of the projects (smallbearelec.com is a good source for DIY stuff - they pretty much stock everything you need, including enclosures - nice one-stop shop). Members GRINGO_LOCO
Some suggestions from my project gallery: ***vero / stripboard layouts*** Dallas Rangemaster Gus Smalley's NPN Boost AMZ Mosfet Boost (several popular boosts are either based on, or direct copies of this one) MXR Micro Amp Sparkle Boost (one of my own designs...GREAT sounding booster that you can add a bit of "grit" to. AMZ Minibooster (You know it as the Fulltone Fat Boost) Electro-Harmonix LPB Boost ***If you prefer perfboard*** Alembic Stratoblaster AMZ Minibooster Duende JFET Booster Sparkle Boost ***and some PCB layouts*** Alembic Stratoblaster AMZ Minibooster Duende JFET Boost Sparkle Boost Orange Treble and Bass Boster Dallas Rangemaster --------------------------------------------------- These pretty much cover about 90% of the boost pedals out there. Most "boutique" pedals are either variations of, or 100% COPIES of these. GRINGO
