Members hangwire
does anyone know the value of the pot in a roland ev5 expression pedal? 100k, 10k? also, could you just take a pot and wire it to a 1/4 jack and that would work the same as an expression pedal? if so, would it just be 2 wires from the pot connecting to the 2 points on the jack? Members SpectralJulian
Not sure about the EV-5. . . As for the other one- most expression pedals use stereo jacks. Mono jacks will work sometimes. Generally, left pin on a pot is ground connected to the sleeve, the middle pin is connected to the tip, and the right pin is connected to the ring. Members ledzurso
it's a 10k pot. how does that compare to a regular volume pedal? i must say, this unit probably costs roland a few bucks to manufacture. what a rip off. two cheap pots in a plastic casing = 60 bucks?
