Members Noise...
WTF Man? You should be buying more pedals and guitar gear. Not video games! I used to be obsessed with video games myself. I now have tons of systems lying about gathering dust, piles of games that haven't been touched in a year +, and growing urge to sell every last console and game to go buy another guitar and a mess of pedals. Guitar = better than video games.
Members Collapse
Giga Wing 2 is pretty much the best top-down shooter ever. House of the Dead is pretty fun if you've got the lightgun. Seconds for Armada, Shenmue, JGR, and SoA. Guantlet can be fun but it's exactly the same as the old NES game, with better graphics.

Yeah I actually prefer the NES version over anything else...even the original arcade version. Houses of the Dead is a great gun game, even more ridiculous is Typing of the Dead if you have the DC keyboard. Totally hilarious. Its Houses of the Dead but instead of using the gun you kill everything by typing words, and the word choice is most excellent.
Members Noise...
^Don't get me wrong...I'll still pop a game in now and then, but they just can't hold my interest anymore. The same goes for TV too. I rarely watch anything on TV. If only Gamestop paid you a bit more for trading in games.

You'll just regret it later, and yeah, not worth that much money.

Yep, I know as well. I sold off a few a while back, and even though I really, really hated them, I STILL regret it. Even though I rarely play any video games anymore... Also Demolition Racer is a money game, T-Bone city!
Members iodine74
I've never had one, but I remember playing one in a Toys R Us. They had NFL 2k1 playing on it and I remember loving it, because up until then I'd never been successful at playing a football video came.. they'd always seemed too complex to me... I was always a side-scroller shootem up guy. Man I loved Contra.

Guitar = better than video games. There's only so many hours in the day to play guitar, and I can't play electric in my dorm right now. Though I'm about at the end of my rope and just saying {censored} it and playing and hopefully not getting kicked out. Probably the only reason I haven't bought the orange tiny terror yet. Sometimes, I just need to unwind by playing some video games.

Dead or Alive 2, Rayman 2, Crazy Taxi, Sword of the Berserk, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. On the import side there's a lot more like Border Down, Guilty Gear X, and Under Defeat. Hehe, there's a new commerical shooter coming out this month for the DC!
Members Phineas Gage
One of my favorites that hasn't been mentioned is Rush 2049. Arcade style racing. It has a cool little multiplayer battle mode I dig, simple yet quite fun. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is pretty nice if you're into that kind of fighting game, it's always been my favorite. I also had a lot of fun playing Unreal Tournament online, but that might not work for you if you're used to playing shooters online on a PC. But coming from someone who was never a PC gamer, this was definitely good times indeed.
