Members mr benn
wonder would any other op amps give different results in a phaser?i know there's plenty out there about that they do in tube screamers but anyone tried to swap one out in something else? Members zarathustra1978
Why not pop a socket in there and try out a few? Just make sure the pinouts match. The JRC4558 is a dirty bastard, really noisy. Depending on the circuit, that can be good or bad. With phasers, a bit of grittiness can sometimes be a good thing. Maybe try an NE5532 or TL072; they're both good, low-noise opamps (though the 5532 draws a lot of current, so not a good choice for batteries).
