I have heard good things about the Bad Monkey but in my research I came across the Hot Head. i have never heard of it (there may be a reason). What the big diff between the 2. Members mdintx Posted May 14, 2007 Members Share Posted May 14, 2007 Different animals all together. The Bad Monkey is a tube screamer type overdrive with the associated mid-boost. The Hot Head is similar to Boss' DS-1, a mid-scooped distortion. I don't either will completely suit your needs. But, they're $40 a piece so getting both won't kill the wallet.
