Members hugbot
I'm thinking specificly of the mini-kp. I see something like that and my first thought is "Wow! gotta get me one of those!" and then my second thought is me struggling to think how I could use it practically considering its I'm a guitarist and its not often I get my hands on a synth or sample outside of pedal loopers. They're not that expensive though, Is it worth getting one just to mess around with?
Members kpd78
i had one of the original Kaoss Pads (when they were 1st released) in my home studio for a couple of years but eventually sold it. it was fun to use, and you can easily get nice sounds/effects out of it, but the truth is, i never actually included it on a finished track. everyone that visited the studio always had a go on it, and were always more impressed with the KP than any of my high-end recording gear. you may find it useful if you're in to recording (so you can manipulate pre-recorded tracks), particlarly if you make ambient, experimental or fx-based music. the best advice is to try one if you can.
