Members v_c
Does anyone have one, and have any opinions on it? Specifically the quality of the 9v power supply built in? Noisy etc?
Members Last Nerve
Used the old SPB-8 for years and sold it ONLY to upgrade to the SPB8-C.IMO, the best board out there.Quiet as a mouse. Plenty of room. Well built and thought out.Probably my best investment as far as a gear purchase I've ever made.
Members v_c
Thanks for the reply. Would I be right in thinking that the board also does the same job as one of furmans rackmounted power-conditioners? ie I could plug my amp into one of the 3-prong outlets on the board and get a cleaner power supply that way? Members Last Nerve
Yep. I've had to do that MANY times. Gotta watch out for those Dublin bar gigs, huh? I bet that could be a tough crowd!
Members charless
I have a Furman SPB-8 board. It's great and no noise at all. A total of 11 power jacks for pedals. Mine is a soft case ... comes with pockets to hold cables and whatever else you may need. Great investement! Charles

Members jay3265E
I have an SPB-8 and want to upgrade to the newer version. The older one is awesome though. It's about the only piece of equipment that I've ever gotten right on the first try.
Members TubeBy12
I have been strongly considering buying one of those newer versions. Questions:Are they inclined, or if not, do they tilt up?Does the lid have an egg-crate foam lining to hold everything in place during transport? Thanks in advance! Members EL KABONG
mines not inclined but everything stayed magically in it's own place during my move and nothing was velcoed down.
Members Last Nerve
New ones aren't inclined (were the old ones? I never noticed). The carpet on the newer version is not as "sticky." It tends to raise up just a bit whenever I pull something off, and become a little "loose." There are no compartments or anything, which sucks, IMO.But I like the hardcase (I have kids), I like the isolated power supplies and I like the master on/off button.Having a nice piece of fitted foam would rock, but I have an RMC wah and a EchoPark, 2 heavy pedals, on my board and neither has fallen off (I keep it stored on its side).
