Members bt2513
Any Vox-like wah will get you there. What is your budget? Are you into DIY?
Members SlickCat
I had a cry baby but didnt care for it. Didnt sound vocal enough. Any special vox model I should try?
Members bt2513
Again, what's your budget? If its in the Vox arena (i.e., not boutique arena) then I would go with a Vox Clyde Mccoy. Otherwise, a Teese RMC-1 would be another alternative. I've owned a Budda Bud-Wah+ and it was a great pedal. Had to sell it for financial reasons (actually, just being a poor college kid) but it was a great vintage-esque wah. I built a BYOC and modded it with a vintage inductor, range switching, and off board mid and Q controls. I can get a good variety of tones with it including sounds like you want but I would not take on a project like that unless you are dedicated to the hobby. Members vifitflag909
If you've got the money, a Fulltone Clyde or Area 51 Vintage Italian wah will get the vintage vox wah sound. Both are held in quite high esteem around here, I believe.
