Slash/Izzy's tone on 'Appetite for Destruction' EQ wise...

I know that that certain tone almost requires a les paul and some sort of marhall dirt, but how is it EQ-ed? Is that a spike in the upper midrange? Very few low midrange? A lot of treble? I can't figure it out. In particular, the tone I was looking for was the tone on night train. That edgey, in your face kind of deal. Thanks for the input

Right, I knew izzy used semi-hollows a lot. I've got an f-30, so I'll try and crank the upper mids on that (fish & chips FTW!)... thanks for the suggestion:)

 

I actually realize that my safest bet would to be to just go and try out all kinds of settings instead of asking people if they think it will work...
