Members kismet78
I just picked up an Echo Park from a guy on CL. The switch feels loose and bit weird. Isn't there supposed to be a spring under the switch? It doesn't stay up, if you know what I mean.
Members smrz
It doesn't stay up, if you know what I mean. :poke: Oh...and yes, that is weird. It should, um, stay up.

Anyway, I doubt the tap function will work if it's like this, eh?

I'm sure she's fine with you talking about your problems on here but I doubt she'd be happy if she knew you used the words loose.

Members kismet78
Can someone verify if there is supposed to be a spring under the hood?
Members therhodeo
I believe my old one did in fact have a spring.
Members kismet78
Someone over at TGP said their Verbzilla has no spring. Echo Park should be the same? Can someone else please verify? :poke:
Members desertlimosine
The tap tempo does not click, so you maybe feel that that is loose. To engage the pedal, you have to press hard to feel a certain click. the tap tempo works by lightly tapping on the "loose" switch. Feels weird at first, but you'll get used to it. Members kismet78
OK, got it home and the tap tempo does work. The problem seems to be that the little black oval button under the switch isn't popping up like it's supposed to . I'm gonna pry the sucker open and see if I can't fix it. If not, no biggie, since it does still work - it's just loosey goosey. Flappy.
Members kismet78
UPDATE: I found a perfectly fitting spring in my landlord's workshop. This is the luckiest day of my life. The tension is perfect. The tap doesn't feel too loose, yet it's still easy to toggle off/on. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket or 12.
