Members paganifuzz
yesterday I was playing with some EQs in a local guitar store...I played side by side the MXR blue 6band and the Pearl Dual PArametriq one!The Pearl seemed a bit too complicated and the MXR was very simple to use and I could dial sounds pretty easy! I thought it was a good sound...what do you guys think? any thoughts on the blueMXR I know they have been around since the 70's but I dont think it was the case.... althought this one doesnt have a power chord (batteries only) and the seller claimed it was really old, I opened it up and spotted 2 chips made in Taiwan... So it cant be that old, right? Also on ebay there is only a Black version of this MXR 6band to sell... so the blue cannot be that new either! it was around U$130... expensive, right? Members melx
as far as I know the blue ones are pretty old, the ones without a switch?? the black one is the more modern version of it.. at least that's what I thought..

I just thought the taiwan chips mean its not that old! mmm...I have no idea about that, but I think I'm right in saying that it's pre-dunlop MXR. Maybe it's one of the last ones or something...either way MXR EQ's are good eq's. If I ever buy another EQ I'll probably get the black one because the sliders have led's in the ends....super cool. Members ToneJamFX
I've checked out the blue ones, and I found them really useful, and sturdy. Like the other guy said...the newer black ones are pretty much the same thing with a foot switch added.
