We went to a Concert at my Daughter's HS where she plays sevral instruments.

They had two kids playing guitar in the Jazz band. The kids were doing a killer version of TSOP. The two guitarists were holding their own well. But guitars were sounding thin and dull. One kid played a honeyburst Gibby LP and the other played what looked like Yamaha AES series. Then I saw the trouble! They were both playing through ONE Fender 2-12 amp. The kid with the LP was hooked through what looked like a Dano French Toast by the size and color. When he played his lead it sounded sort of ok, but before and after he was thin and dull. Nothingliek what an LP should sound liek through decent Fender. What shame because the kid played some tasty chops.

Two culprits.

1) two guitars in one amp

2) tone sucking pedal with a crappy buffer.

Which do you all think is more guilty?

The bass was playing through a 15" Hartke and sounded great.

My vote would be two guitars in one amp. That's just a shame to have good guitars and not have individual amps. But I dunno much about that pedal.

definitely the 2 guitars into the amp. I've played through Dano mini's before, and honestly, they're not that bad.
