Electro-Harmonix 2880 is high impedance?

Stomp boxes are designed to accept a high impedance signal on the input but they can also accept a low one. They have to deal with this internally or else you would only ever be able to have one effect in your chain, so don't worry about the 2880.

As far as the volume pedal is concerned, if you intend to use the buffer first, go with the L, if you are going to have the buffer after, go with the H. Volume pedals can add noise if the impedance isn't matched and Boss are specific in which one you should use.

One thing I thought I'd add is that you have to remember that high impedance doesn't equate to "strong signal strength". Impedance is the amount the characteristics of the cable impedes the current and so a low impedance cable run passes a stronger signal.

If a piece of equipment can accept a high impedance input then all that means is it is sensitive enough to take a lower signal and will then in turn convert it to a stronger signal.
