Members Daryl Chaney
http://www.thomann.de/ie/gretsch_g5222_electromatic_compact.htm im sure its cheaper for you guys in the US, but heck i'd hit that over a fender champion 600. anyone got a hold of one yet? i'd be tempted, but most of that is from its cool looks and the fact name Gretsch is on it You could possibly fit a 10" speaker in there, an 8" will fit for sure. Members Lanefair
Man I'd sure love to crank one of those in my garden on a summers day and play through the neck pickup on my tele with an ice cold beer and some good company in my sandals getting some rays. Members thebazaar
those champs are cool little amps. ran a nocaster into one and together it was one of the best jazz combinations ive played. even when i dropped down to a Mexi tele, the overall tone from the amp was great. Members Zoidberg
I'd love to try one out, but I'm not sure if I'll ever see one around these parts..
Members woodsmandan
Not having any tone controls I would find limiting, I think Most low watts tube amps sound best with all control cranked, so not much use for a tone control...there's one on most guitars anyway

Members L6Sguy
Not having any tone controls I would find limiting, I think it can make one into a better player, if one doesnt see it as much a limitation as a reassignment --- between guitar's controls and playing technique, theres a small wealth of tonal range. the amp just makes it louder, the player decides what it sounds like. Members TheGareth
It seriously needs a master volume control.
Members L6Sguy
and you could add one, for short change and minimal time, but thats hardly an essential.

In my case it would be essential. I have a Fender Champ 600 and I don't use it because no master volume and it's too loud without it, the speaker's too small and no reverb.
