Members shadowshocker Posted February 21, 2008 Members Share Posted February 21, 2008 I'm debating whether or not to get rid of the HOG or not. I got it when I was playing guitar and that's it. Now that I mostly use synths I'm looking over at it and realizing I really only use it for the filter effect and wah effect. I hardly use the octaves where it makes a huge difference and I would really NEED them to get the desired sound. So what are some pedals that I could possibly get that would replace this with only what I use it for? Possibly more filters instead. Or am I just gasing for new equipment and I'll end up regreting it? Thanks Edit: I should mention that although sometimes I use the HOG filters on synths, I use them mostly to create effects on the guitar. I'd imagine it would be similar and I can still use an expression pedal. Knowing the quality of Moog the filter would probably sound really nice too.
