Members denimboy
Every time my hand sweep on my pick guard, I hear crackles from my amp. Same crackles you hear when you pull off a shirt full of static. Any way to remove that ?

Members denimboy
Is it me or the guitar that holds static ?

Members Danox3
I just had this issue with my 12 string Strat. Appears it's the pickgaurd. My friend and bandmate Atrox, rubbed it with a dryer sheet, and the problem is gone. So, try some static guard.

Members denimboy
okay thank you. I'm gonna try dryer sheet. Then static guard if the problem is still there.
Members freeRadical
I had that problem with my Hwy 1 Tele mostly in the winter. The static sheet works but I would end up forgetting to bring one or loosing it. I ended up putting tin foil under the entire pick gard and making sure it made a good connection with the switch plate which should be grounded. I haven't noticed a problem since. Members billythegoat
x2I completely shielded everything under the guard with foil tape! No more static and less interference.
