Members JSmalley12000
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows what Johnny Greenwood uses to change the rate of the effect (it's either tremolo or delay) in the songs 'Bones' and 'Lucky'. It might not be as pronounced on the studio recordings, but there are live videos where it's pretty clear -- he plays a note, and I assume changes the rate of the effect with a foot pedal, such that it decays at an increasing rate (i.e. more time between each repeat/peak). Anyone know what he uses? Thanks!
Members Flying_Milkman
Playing "Bones" live he's on his hands and knees adjusting the knob himself.
Members Faldoe
I read somewhere that he built a tremolo with a expression pedal to adjust the rate.....

Here's his rig per Guitar Geek (you should browse this site for all the other guitarist as well): http://guitargeek.com/rigview/510/ It does show a homemade tremolo. Anyone know if you can buy one commercially? Thanks.
Members Jbrazz
he also runs his guitar through a computer based sequencer called MAX/MSP. im not sure if he was using it for that album though.

Anyone know what he uses? Thanks! he uses a dementer tremulator (contrary to popular belief that he uses a homemade one), and on songs like Bones, he slows down the rate control with his hands delay would result in sounds like the end of Karma Police and the noises in the middle of Airbag and Max/MSP is for stuff like the Go To Sleep guitar solo/glitchfest
Members kismet78
Empress Trem has the dual-rate setting feature that allows you to do this with the tap switch. The ramping from slow-fast and vice versa is awesome.
