Members Caesar
Just got a new MXR Blue Box, and I knwo the thing is supposed to be glitchy, but there are time when it seems like it's choking off my notes. Is it supposed to maintain the natural sustain, or does it cut off periodically. A dud would be a bummer.
Members cobalt-60
LOL, yeah, that's what the Blue Box does. Seriously, they all sound like that. It would be really cool if it didn't sound so muted and cut out all the time. I like the octave wobbling a lot. Say, where'd you get the Flying V chick? Members bisticles
Yeah, it tracks a single note, so it'll jump around and cut off unnaturally.
Members CicadaSilence
I wonder why no one has cloned and improved the Blue Box? Seems like a no brainer: better bypass, more volume, switchable 1 or 2 octaves down option, a tone knob... If I didn't suck at soldering I'd do it. Members orangesix
it can make it somewhat unusable at times, but i always felt like that was part of the charm of the blue box.

Members Caesar
Thanks guys. I though it was by-design, but I just wanted to make sure I was getting the glitch factor correct. It's really cool. I just have to get used to it. Say, where'd you get the Flying V chick? The main site for the guy is http://nx.jpn.org/~malce/muramasa/ The pics in question are: http://nx.jpn.org/~malce/muramasa/image/aem017.html http://nx.jpn.org/~malce/muramasa/image/aem016.html http://nx.jpn.org/~malce/muramasa/image/aem014.html http://nx.jpn.org/~malce/muramasa/image/aem013.html There are some naughty pong games on that site as well. There are other great alternatives on the market, like the midfi glitch computer, 4ms nocto loco and copilot mantis 2, and from what some of the videos the new miaudio polyriama (their new octaver)
