Question is, if I'm using an adapter most of the time should I remove the battery? Any harm in leaving the battery in the pedal (for mobility's sake)? Members Lanefair Posted June 18, 2008 Members Share Posted June 18, 2008 If you plug in an adapter, the connection to the battery is shorted, so the battery won't run down. BUT if you have a battery in the pedal, and guitar cable in the input, and no adapter plugged in, the battery will run down because it will be powering a buffer even if the pedal is off. Members greenweenie Posted June 18, 2008 Members Share Posted June 18, 2008 Most pedals have a circuit so that when the dc plug is used, the battery's connection gets cut.
