Members rawk100
I'm thinking about getting one of these for a practice tool (using headphones) and maybe for demos onto my computer software. Does anyone else use them and are they recommended? Whats the tonez like? What else could I use? Thanks......
Members Shmoo
definitely yes...although I haven't tried this one I own the last version...the 4. I picked it up at a guitar show without really thinking about it...it was just at such a low price for the show, I thought it would be good to have when my young son is asleep. Excellent practice tool. Decent rhythms and bass lines which make it funner to practice to than a metronome. Some good sounds...a lot aren't what I would use but hey, I just don't use those ones. With the USB interface, new rythms etc. I would say this one is going to be great.

Does the version 4 have a USB interface then?...

Members Angelo Guitars
The PX4D doesn't have the USB. The tones are good, but you have to tweak them to suit your guitar. If you're going to record to your PC then the PX5D would probably suit your needs better.
Members tommy_is_here
IS there really that much difference between the PX4 and PX5, aside from the USB? Has the complexity increased with the PX5 from an end user pov?
Members punkicidal
I was thinking of getting a PX4D to use sort of as a pre-amp for when I'm travelling with my laptop.
Members tommy_is_here
I'm wonderin' if as a headphone amp, the PX5 and PX4 are about the same...
