Played 1st gig last night with EVH Phase 90. I have it 1st in the chain in my loop ... EVH > H20> MXR eq.

I only used it partially in a few somgs as every time i kicked it in my tone was sucked dry ...

NOT Happy.

Should i maybe put it in front after FD2,

OR get a mod done , or is this just the nature of the beast?

Putting modulation in front of dirt seems to not drop the volume. Try it out
:idk:

So you're saying that being in the loop after my preamp could be the problem?

I thought modulation / Delay was better in the loop.

I should try this out hey.

Well, I'm a home recording dip{censored} and I put everything in front of the amp. When I played around with a phaser before the dirt, I was very happy with the results. No volume drop and the dirt was nice and clear.

This all true, but you will also lose a lot of dynamic this way. Experiment and report back!

OK I'll give it a go .

Anyone else have the same problem or suggestions?

Did you try it with your amp at home? These situations can be avoided if you thoroughly tested your gear before the gig.

Yeah you're right.

But unfortunately the pedal arrived thursday and my gear was in the rehearsal room and i didn't get to it until the day of the gig.

Just excited to try it out and thought that was the best spot to put it.

Good learning curve for me .

So i think i'll try

Guitars > wah>comp>phase>dirt>tuner> amp.

Chorus>Delay >EQ ,LOOP.
