Members woodsmandan
I was always turned off by the ultra chorused guitar sounds of the 80's...Even Gilmour had his bad chorus days... I had a few choruses over the decades, even a nice CE-1 a couple years ago...plugged it, hated it and sold it. Now a friend just gave me a CE-3...analog, right ?...I tought that, for once, I'll try to use it, and maybe, maybe like it. Sooo...the chorus acts on the pitch of the signal, right?...where do you put it in the chain, before or after overdrive ? watabout rate, set it slow or fast ? I've read here once that someone who doesn't like chorus is someone who doesn't understand how to use it...so, how do I use it ? (now just dont give me that
Members bowlingshirt
I usually run rate and depth at opposite ends...meaning the faster the rate, the more I'll lower the depth. As far as placement is concerned, I would put it after dirt, but before delay and reverb. I usually like to use it just with clean tones, tho. Members orange worker
its really overused so i can see you not liking it. you should look for one with a blend knob so you can have just a touch of chorus so its not too overpowering. usually i like to set the depth short and intensity at 11 oclock. Members goodhonk
yeah, i don't use chorus because i don't want to sound like those guys that overused it. i could see it enhacing your sound though, with a light touch, to soften things up a bit. Ok, with the rate all the way down and the depth 3/4 up it actually sounds sweet while playing
