Members gschmittling
Hey, I'm about to play a gig where a bunch of bar owners are going to be there and I want to put together a press package together to get us some more gigs. What's typically in a press package? Picture(s), our EP, songlist, contact info... anything else?
Members Neon Soul
As someone who has put out a few press packs here's my experience: I'd say a band logo (if there is one) and maybe a band shot, you don't want to overfill the thing with pics. Short to the point EP with a tracklist, 4 song max I'd say. Band website or Myspace, a phone number for every member and a name to go with the number. People also seem to like the ease of putting all of this on a disc so if you can do that you may want to throw on a live vid to.

Members gschmittling
all on a disc? whoa, now that's an idea... how do i go about doing that? Also, we have a youtube account, anyway to get those vids on there?
Members Neon Soul
I never acctually got to the disc stage. I was at a talk about music business and happened to have a pp that was used as an example and critiqued. As for the Youtube vids, who uploads them? They must be on said persons computer.
