Anyone here use one?

I hadn't seen them in any local stores, but had the chance to pick one up off craigslist at a good price, so I bought it.

I'm wondering if it's a good stand for live gigging. Previously, I've been using an Ultimate Support Apex with mic boom attachment. The Spider is taller, and doesn't appear to have a mic boom attachment option. (I bought the Spider, not the newer Spider pro.) I like the concept and look of an attached mic boom, but my mic picks up keyboard playing noise when I use the Ultimate boom. This isn't too audible when I'm singing, but when I take an instrumental break, it irritates.

Things I like about the Spider.

1) It looks sharp. I think it looks visually interesting onstage.

2) It seems stable, more so than the Apex. I've only tried it at home, not at a gig, so I can't be certain how it will handle more energetic playing. This is my first impression.

3) It's too tall. I'd have liked it to be about a foot shorter. As it is, the top sticks up between me and my audience (were I to use this on stage) more than I'd like it too. Although, I could angle the stand, rather than standing facing forward. Just a thought.

4) It looks nice in my studio. I'm likely to keep it even if I decide this isn't a good gigging stand for me.

Anyone here have any thoughts on this stand? Ideas about enhancements, cable management, etc?

Thanks!
