Website for Delay settings

I am a delay newbie.

Recently i am looking at delays and find them very interesting in how they can change your sound.

 

But I am never able to get the settings just right and when I listen to songs my settings sound different.

 

Is there a good website which has all the settings for famous bands/songs?

Why do people have so much trouble with delay settings? Set the time and feedback, roll back the mix and you're good to go.

There is no website for delay setting because not all delay pedals work exactly the same.

well, some stuff is easier than others.

 

The Edge of U2 typically works with a single slapback delay and then a few repeats at 400ms.

 

A lot of the delay in Pink Floyd's stuff was about 310 ms, since that was the longest their echo units could go for. The Wall and beyond were more like 380 to 400ms or so.

 

finding stuff in milliseconds is possible if you look hard enough, since that's universal to any delay pedal.

yep. there's actually a whole webpage out there on how The Edge sets up his rig, with the delay and everything....delay times for individual songs too....
