Members Pr3Va1L
Hey guys, help me out! I have a pretty good deal to go pick up an Alesis Quadrasynth tommorow. How good would it work as a MIDI controller? If I use a USB to midi interface for the computer? AND with my roland JP-8080? And how good is the action? That's mostly what i'm interested in! I was looking for a controller and I saw this for less than what I was looking for, and it's 76 keys with aftertouch! Anyways, thanks!
Members elsongs
The action is pretty good, Alesis used a semi-weighted Fatar keybed for the Quadrasynth and the QS series.

Members Sparkytfl
If it's the same keybed as the qs6.1, good action. Feels a little squishy at the bottom (which I think feels better than the clanky lack of padding on a lot of boards), a good semi-weighted tension to them, not much side to side wiggle, and the aftertouch is so easy to use (doesn't take all your weight like my stupid fantom. I can't even get it activated with anything but my thumb and index fingers on the fantom). The QS 6.1 lets you set what cc number the four sliders control. I don't know about the quadra, I think it has fewer sliders anyway.
