Members johnnyunitas
Visiting a buddy of mine in San Francisco mid-September, but I'll have some time to kill during the day as he has a 9-to-5. So I beseech thee: What instrument stores and record shoppes should I hit up? (Also: Any neat, non-touristy local points-of-interest to check out?) Members pbone
Here in the East Bay, there's Blue Note Music and Starving Musician. Starving Musician has an assload of pedals and some neat used amps and stuff. They're both in Berkeley and about a mile from each other. Not too sure on ones in the city. Members Karma1
In Marin County - about 10 miles north of the Golden Gate bridge in San Rafael is Bananas At Large - great music store. While you're in the area check out the Marin Headlands - just on the Marin side of the Golden Gate. Spectacular views of the bridge, the bay, and SF. There's also a beach there by the ocean. Nice drive, hikes, etc. Another area in Marin is Mt. Tamalpais and the redwood forests.
