Members surfcat
How hard is it to change one out? Are they attached to the board? With basic soldering skills, rate it for 1 (Gomer Pyle could do it) to 10 (NASA engineers curl up in the fetal postion) for difficulty.
Members onyxrhino
I had a BN5 with a faulty switch. I got Fromel to rehouse and true bypass it for me. I think he said that it wasn't too complicated. You might want to PM him and ask. I think his moniker here is jfromel.
Members stevemcb
I also have a TS5 with a dodgy switch... I took the board out (many months ago, and it's on the other side of the world now) and it looked like the switch itself was tiny, but it should be doable. I've been thinking about trying to mount a big stomp-style momentary switch (one that looks like a 3PDT switch) instead of the tiny, bound to fail microswitch that's on there (when I eventually go back to New Zealand). The bypass seems fine to my ears. Steve
Members surfcat
Yeah, the switch is about $ .95 but postage will probably be $8.00. I may order a few and give it a try if it's not too hard. A Keeley style tb switch would be cool but it would probably topple over from the weight of it. Members andreas
http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=35 Located right on the circuit board, with four soldering joints. It's relatively easy to replace. Fitting a 3PDT might be hard to do - I can't really see a sensible place to mount it in the stock plastic box... /Andreas
Members cmog
I have circuit bent my AW5 Auto Wah. I also changed the switch but to a momentary... couldn't be arsed TB'ing. If you have a desoldering pump, it will only takes a few minutes to change out. I'm about to put it up on my site but need to a video.
