I make less per hour than your average landscaper, but I wouldn't trade my job for (almost) anything. "Quality of life" encompasses way more than little details like adequate nutrition, or not living in the ghetto. Adequate nutrition is pretty important to me, and while I feel no desire to keep up with the joneses - 'living in the ghetto' is something I'd avoid, for the safety of my loved ones and my self. Ive spent plenty of years being poor, not eating well, and living in a {censored}hole...I look at it as a rite of passage and wouldnt want to go back through it.
