Members LR Weizel
M-Audio Fast Track looks great but no MIDI.

Members Chaos Realms
E-Mu 0404 is a great value. Midi i/o, 24/96, optical and spdif in and out. Sounds just great with my Rokit 5's. Costs $200 new, so probably right where you need it to be for a used one.
Members LR Weizel
Really trying to keep costs down here, $200 new will still be over $150 second hand. $100 is an absolute maximum for me as there are some good options I can get cheaper, but I'm looking for alternatives. Members Wilbo26
You're looking at the Fast Track then. You can grab a seperate USB MIDI interface for next to nothing if you need MIDI. Edit: This would work for you. No idea how good/bad it is though. IIRC the Tascam stuff is decent though. http://www.zzounds.com/item--TASUS144
Members LR Weizel
Yeah, I'm looking at the TASCAM stuff as my primary option. Would having a decent audio interface improve the latency on a seperate MIDI thingie? Also, would I be able to power both of them off the same bus with a double adapter? Members Wilbo26
Latency really shouldn't be a problem with MIDI no matter what you buy.
Members LR Weizel
Really? So I can just keep using the cheap ass no brand USB adapter I got for my Microkorg? It does respond faster when I lower the latency in ASIO4ALL though I can only lower it a bit before it underruns. Would the Fast Track fare better? Would the Fast Track fare better? I would think so yes. I can't guarantee anything of course because every system is different, but set up properly I see no reason why that wouldn't work for you. I've never had to use ASIO for my midi interface either. I just use whatever driver windows finds for it and its very respnosive. And I use the M-Audio ASIO drivers for my audio interface. Members LR Weizel
I'm using my Microkorg to turn down soundfonts. Turning down the latency gives me way better feel but I can only do it so far. It'd be aces if I could do it way down. I really need low latency more than anything. Here's a good article for you: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/Oct04/articles/qa1004-7.htm That might answer some questions that I'm unable to. Hopefully it doesn't just raise more. It sounds like you're able to get your current interface to perform well enough for you, and I can't imagine a separate audio interface really changing anything about that. Like that article says as long as your computer is powerful enough (and it really doesn't take THAT much) and everything is configured correctly it should work just fine.
