What would such a trimpot look like? Where on the inside of the pedal would it be? How would one adjust it?

if there are any trimpots, they'll be on the circuit board - you'll need to take the base of the

pedal off and (carefully) ease the circuit board out...

they can be adjusted with a little screwdriver.

trimpots come in several forms but are easy to spot...

some examples:

If there is a trimpot inside, then that could explain why a lot of people have different experiences.

i like this: Boss Pitch Shifter Delay RPS-10

boss_rps10.jpg

I have the ps-2, ps-3 and this thing.

They each have their own sound about them.

The ps-2 will self oscillate for days; I love to get it like that and then switch delay modes, you can make some really weird {censored}.

The rps-10 is cool because it has its own version of mode 7, it self oscillates like the ps-2 and it has two reverse delay settings that rule!

the only draw back is that it's not a pedal (although there is a pedal trigger you can get for it)...

but it's still cool.

here's a demo i stole from tonefrenzy:

Okay, I adjusted the trim pots (VR4 and VR5) to the factory settings (B and C# on manual pitch shift mode w/ tuner out), and it doesn't seem to have made any noticeable difference. Would any musicians with oscillating PS-2s care to check their trim pots in order to compare with mine?
