Question for EHX Micro Synth users

Since I'm trying to get EHX Micro Synth these days, how's the octave settings? Is it possible to achieve fairly clean octave +1 or Octave -1 on MS?

Not clean. Keep in mind that it isn't a pitch shifter, just a filter

it's not very polyphonic and has more of a fuzz characteristic... what do u mean by ms, microsynth?

The octaves will always sound gritty and can only track single note runs without serious glitching. If you are looking for clean octave up/down effects, one of the three versions of the EHX POG or a Boss PS-3 may be a better option.

its much cleaner than an octaver type circuit like an octave fuzz

 

but not pure

get a pog. I've had the micro synth and it is very good for gritty single note lines but not good for chords. I enjoy the pog much more than the micro synth in general but you can get a lot more unique sounds out of the microsynth.
