Members Reptilian
have you tried one of these? I was thinking in this as a good option: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ClassicSyn/ Am I right?, how good is this vintage emulation card? What about the others?. Please comment your experience with these accessories.
Members Paolo Di Nicolantonio
If I remember correctly, very good. I've owned a Kurzweil K2000 for many years but these days I mainly use it as a master keyboard.. however the quality of the Sweetwater soundware is good. These are not cards though - they are CD-ROMs - you will need a SCSI CD-ROM player and extra RAM in the Kurzweil to load these sounds
Members Reptilian
sorry, this is what i saw: http://www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com/Product.php?product=81 which is a card, but I didnt realize that other expandible sounds were CD-roms... this means that I need to spend more money to expand the ram . Members mildbill
... I didnt realize that other expandible sounds were CD-roms... this means that I need to spend more money to expand the ram . Your 2661 should have come with some ram installed. You don't need to add to it to load new sounds. It can load .wav's, as well as other formats. You can pick up used scsi drives really cheap if you want to get some cd's. Finding the right cable can be a hassle though. The 2661 also has a smart media card slot, so you can probably load sounds from your computer onto a card, then load them off the card into the k2661. You can also get expansion cards, like the one you linked to. Are you working your way through the manuals? You must have checked out the 2661 here right?: http://www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com/Product.php?product=43 You could also spend some time or maybe get more answers here too: http://community.sonikmatter.com/forums/index.php?showforum=
