He was amazing against Liverpool as well but it's so tight at the top that I don't think any of the top teams can afford to keep fielding a striker who will only have one great game in 10. To be fair though, he's not been getting much help from midfield though and I do think he'd have a much better return with Valencia back in the team and a big pile of cash spent on whoever is going to step into Scholes's boots. Amazing - average - average - average etc. If he played that well with consistency he'd be one of the most valuable footballers on the planet.
