The Fender PT-100 pedal tuner might the worst pedal i have ever bought. it worked great for about year, then it all went to hell. Everytime i step on it, the little plastic piece pops off!! ANNNNDD.... if i have it on as well as a overdrive or boost after it, i get this buzzing sound.. almost like part of my signal is continuing through, but only the extreme bottom end; the tone varies as t what note is displaced on the led screen! Im gonna end up buying a different tuner, which is rediculous, i dont want to pay $100 for a tuner with a footswitch on it......... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Members andreas Posted August 23, 2010 Members Share Posted August 23, 2010 The PT-100 is indeed not the best quality tuner out there... =) To get reliable tuning with a footswitch that properly mutes the signal, and stops the tuner interfering with the signal when you're not using it, there are basically two choices. Either The PT-100 is an 'interesting' design, as it doesn't even try to bypass the tuner - when you turn it off, it simply cuts the power to the tuner circuit /Andreas Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
