Members The Snake King
Anybody got experience?Shoot.Found one for $529 at my local GC. Gonna go try it out, and, if I like it, try to walk out with it for $500. Fair price? Or should I haggle? The distortion channel is lame, but it will never be used. Are the stock speakers crap? Members GreaserMatt
For $500, try to find one on your local craigslist; theres a ton of people hurting these days (not that that is a good thing). There's just something about those 70's twins imho... jus' sayin'... LOL
Members theGhost
those are the red knob ones, right? if so... I've never played one, but I've heard they were pretty "meh"...
Members The Snake King
I think the red knob is the "Evil" twin reverb made in the 80s, the super twin was billed as their new & improved 'break-through' amp in the late 70s. Members Ronsonic B
This is the Ted Nugent amp of the seventies. Which should be telling you everything you need to know. LOUD, relatively clean, pretty damn reliable and LOUD. Oh, and heavy. Don't forget heavy. Holy {censored} is it heavy and loud. You'll want good speakers in it. Lots of power. I think it was advertised at 180 watts, the one on my bench last week was good for an honest 155 clean undistorted watts at 300Hz. It's loud. And heavy. So what I am gathering is that this might be a little on the loud side and might be heavy? Am I understanding you correctly?
