I can definitely see how the Carling 316-PP (the one with the lugs coming out the bottom is Carling part # 316-B-PP) could get nicknamed "X-wing". That said, I've been in the biz for 10+ years, and have never seen or heard the term "X-wing" referred to anything other than the cheap Taiwanese switch.
