Classical chamber music, especially Debussy, Bill Evans piano jazz, or these podcasts: SpaceMusic Podcasts LoFi works too - some old vocal music like Nat King Cole or Sarah Vaughn from a clock radio. Members penelope twee Posted January 3, 2011 Members Share Posted January 3, 2011 I don't really listen to anything while I'm writing but I usually punctuate the silence with Bog People by Xiu Xiu or something equally violent and angst ridden! I often listen to ambient music while I'm conducting my research. That topic sounds challenging and interesting. I agree that the manner in which you define and navigate notions of truth will probably determine how good the essay is. It might be a good idea to impose quite strict boundaries on your study, maybe restricting yourself to a carefully selected range of modern and post-modern perspectives.
