Members mike65
Downloaded this last night - Dreammachine is a vst which has loads of patches that randomly mix and match to create an ebbing/flowing sound ambience. Have to be careful not to over use it I suspect (its built for lazy peeps like me!). I also used Algo Musics M42 Nebula synth for the "decending" sound and the "slow" lead sound in the second half. Members Paolo Di Nicolantonio
Beautiful - great track, thanks for posting it! So the soft synth does most of the evolving patterns without programming? Pretty cool.. It also sounds very full and pleasant... what did you use to record it - audio interface, daw, effects? -
Members mike65
It was hosted in EnergyXt and fed through Anwida Soft DX Reverb as was M42.,The track was done in a single take, Dreammachine looping away on its own and me playing M42 over it then 'topped and tailed' in Samplitude audio editor. Hey augerinn I was thinking about your Floyd comment a bit more, while I have never sought to sound like them in any fashion the measured style of Rick Wright has seeped into my brain over the last 28 years of listening. I was watching Dave Gilmours Live in Gdansk on Friday and Wright was on keys, looking as it happened quite ghostly with that grey mane of hair under white/blue light.
