Members JrB
where's a good place to get a case, soft or hard, for a DIY pedalboard? no specific size atm, just planning on building one and i figured it'd be easier to build the board to fit the case than the other way around. Members maxisnotdead
I bought a Rondo flight case. It's held up really well for over 3 years of pretty solid gigs/tours. Pretty big too. http://www.rondomusic.com/pedalcases.html
Members oinkbanana
hit CL for used keyboard cases... that's what I did... on the case in the case (board at a different time) it even had a compartment for a sustain pedal that I use for the volume pedal... 34"X 11" makes for a nice sized board. last year i picked up a case 52" X 14" with hopes to build a board for it, but i'm pretty afraid of how monstrous and unmanageable it'll be. i should decide what i'll do with that case cause it's just taking up space empty for now. You have a photo of that 52" next to the 34" ?

Members AluminumFalcon
My gorm pedalboard fits perfectly into an ATA case designed for a turntable.
Members oinkbanana
You have a photo of that 52" next to the 34" ? not next but how about IN? here's a bunch of cases lined up first two red cases are for Nord synths (which are 34X11 themselves) the third red case is a bit longer because it has the extra compartment for the volume pedal, it's the one I use for my pedalboard the black case is the one that's probably too big. here's a picture of my 34x11 board inside the 52X14 case. 14" wide might be a little awkward, unless I use the extra space for a true bypass strip but i'm not sold on the idea yet. and I'm waiting for that FUCKING voodoo Digital power to power 5 eventide pedals if i'm gonna build a monster board. as it stand I have three ISO5 under the 11X34 board (one for each eventide)

Members johnnyunitas
If you're building the board, why not build the case? this. if you're even moderately handy and have access to a saw, it's totally easy. alternately: thrift stores often have cool old luggage.
