Members lerber3
Hola from Puerto Vallarta... I sat in with a band last night here in PV & the Roland keyboard had 2 notes that played at maximum velocity... a C and a G about 2 octaves apart (after a few drinks I couldn't remember where these bombs were... which was especially annoying in those quiet sections). I told the owner that I'd consult the interwebs to see if there was a simple solution. Anyhoo, the keyboard is 76 key unweighted home-style keyboard that is too salt-damaged (a clue?) to read any of the writing (the metal casing is pretty corroded & the LCD display just shows an array of black rectangles)... so I can't give a precise model number. I figure that all unweighted Roland keyboards probably share the same keyboard mechanism, so it probably doesn't matter. The board seems to basically work OK if you don't mind braille-ing your way around the patches. Has anybody here successfully repaired the velocity-sense contacts on an unweighted Roland keyboard? Thanks in advance
Members leitner6
There's 2 buttons underneath the key. It's usually a graphite cylinder sitting in some rubber housing. You either have a loose graphite cylinder or the the circuit board is dirty where the cylinder contacts.
