Members n!k
So the singer in my band uses a few effect pedals on his voice and harmonica. The chain is: EHX Voice BoxBoss RV-3 Reverb/DelayDigitech JamMan Solo The problem is every time we play a show the sound man is like DURRRRRRRRRRR when we try to use the effects. I am thinking we should try a DI after the effects, but I don't have a clue if that's the right approach to get a clean effected or bypassed signal and get it into the board or PA without fuss. Ideally a DI or other solution could fit onto a small pedalboard with the rest of his stuff. Anyone have any suggestions or experience?

Members oinkbanana
try a DI, get one that has a ground lift. your power supply might be giving you noise as well.
Members ambient
Yea definitely get a DI to go after the pedals. Sound men are gonna want balanced XLR outputs, guitar pedals don't have those. It may also be worth setting up two mics that your singer swaps between - one dry and one with your fx. In general, sound guys don't like not having control over vocal fx.
Members coloringpad
I'd go with a small mixer.
